Sipping in Style: A Journey Through The 2026 Sarasota Wine Festival
The Sarasota Wine Festival’s Co-Founders Bill Kwon and Cathy Kwon
On Saturday, March 22, 2026, at the picturesque Selby Five Points Park in Downtown Sarasota, the Sarasota Wine Festival kicked off its 3rd annual event. The Sarasota Wine Festival was the perfect opportunity to experience a delightful day filled with exquisite wines, fine spirits, and delicious food from local vendors, all while supporting worthy causes in our community.
From 6 PM to 9 PM, attendees sampled wines from around the globe. Whether you’re a connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass of wine, there was something to please every palate. With a General Admission ticket priced at $150, festival goers enjoyed wine tastings, a souvenir wine glass, a tote bag, and a voucher for food from the array of local food trucks participating in the festival.
Those who were looking for an even more exclusive experience were offered a VIP ticket option for $275. VIP ticket holders gained entry one hour before general admission, allowing for a more intimate experience while mingling in a private lounge area. There they sampled exclusive wines, enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres, and had direct access to knowledgeable sommeliers ready to enhance the VIP ticket holder’s tasting experience. Additional perks included private restrooms and a curated swag bag, making for a truly indulgent evening. Sarasota Link magazine recommends this option for a true immersive experience.
One of the highlights of the Sarasota Wine Festival is its commitment to community. This year, the Sarasota Wine Festival proudly supported both the Women’s Resource Center and Operation Warrior Resolution. The Women’s Resource Center provides a range of essential services, including mental health initiatives, financial counseling, life skills coaching, and educational scholarships for individuals in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Moreover, the festival aims to spotlight local women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses, fostering a supportive atmosphere that celebrates their achievements.
Also benefiting from the festival is Operation Warrior Resolution, a local nonprofit dedicated to aiding veterans and their families through holistic wellness programs. Their focus on mental health, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and reintegration is especially important, offering therapeutic services like yoga and meditation, along with restorative retreats. See our video where we discuss equine therapy with them.
Beyond the wine and altruism, guests enjoyed live entertainment throughout the day. Musical performances included local favorites Suzanne Lucas and the Hot Boyz, and culminated in a lively performance by the headliner Life of the Party, who brought an eclectic mix of hits from the 1970s to today. The energetic atmosphere that live music added to this fantastic festival was apparent everywhere you could be.
The Sarasota Wine Festival not only enriches the local culture with its wine tastings and culinary delights but also exemplifies community spirit by raising funds for significant causes in the area. It’s an event where wine enthusiasts can unite for a day of indulgence while making a positive impact on the local community.
